Betty Jean Heatwole

Betty Jean Heatwole 70, died Monday December 30, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.  She was born October 29, 1943 in Newton, Kansas to John Henry and Fern Nettie (Fall) Heatwole.  Betty worked at the former corner lunch in Newton for nearly 20 years prior to the restaurants closing.  She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her many friends she made. Betty also liked to attend movies and plays with her friends.

 She is survived by her brother Eugene and his wife Caroline of Kansas City, MO; and many special friends she has made at Rescare in Newton.

 Betty is preceded in death by her parents and 8 brothers and sisters.

 Visitation will be from Noon to Service time Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Petersen Funeral Home.  A chapel service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Petersen Funeral Home followed by a interment at Eastlawn Cemetery in Zimmerdale, Kansas.
