Carolyn J. (Schroeder) Wedel

Carolyn J. Wedel 74 died June 10, 2016 at her rural residence. She was born January 4, 1942 in Goessel, Kansas to John A. and Bertha (Frey) Schroeder.  Carolyn worked as a farmer, jeweler and homemaker among other jobs she had during her life.  She enjoyed the country life living on her farm where she could watch the birds, wildlife and enjoy her beloved horses.  Her greatest joy was that of a grandma. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her 4 grandchildren and following their activities and they looked forward to spending time on the farm and helping grandma. 

Carolyn is survived by her son Chanin and his wife Corina Wedel of Newton, KS; daughter Tammy Wedel of Minnesota ; Brothers Robert Schroeder of Manhattan, KS and Donald Schroeder of Hesston, KS; she is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Tyler, Casey, Jamie and Mason

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Kathleen Bair.

Graveside committal service will 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 18. 2016 the Blumenfeld Cemetery in Rural Marion County, Kansas. The Cemetery is located One mile west of Goessel on 120^th and 1 ¼ mile North on 30^th Avenue
