Donald D. Spencer

Donald Duane Spencer 76 of Wichita was born November 13, 1937 in Newton, Kansas to Donald B and Gladys Buller Spencer.  He passed away January 20, 2014 at his Wichita home.

He married Marianne K. Waltner on September 26, 1964 at First Presbyterian Church in Newton.  They were married 49 years.  He enlisted in the Military in 1955. While serving in the Military he played trumpet in the Army band.  He loved the Lord, and gave willingly and was a friend to many.  He was a caring husband and father.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers infant Gary Spencer, Larry Spencer and Richard Spencer.

Survivors include his wife Marianne of the home; son Troy and his wife Tiffany, two granddaughters Maclaine and  Madison Spencer all of Wichita.  The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Petersen Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 23, 2014 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ray Pew presiding. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Newton.
