Ervelle Bronleewe “Ms. B” 69, died Saturday January 11, 2014 at Newton Medical Center.  She was born February 27, 1944 in Geneseo, Kansas to Nathan and Isabella (Pilot) Miller.  She was a retired librarian.  Ervelle was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton, Kansas.  She was an avid reader and had a large collection of teddy bears she enjoyed.  Ervelle enjoyed eating out with her friends.  She was an active member of the Alpha Delta Kappa Association of Early Childhood Education and the Friends of the Newton Public Library.  After her retirement she volunteered in the children’s dept. at the Newton Public Library and the library of several Newton area elementary schools.  Ervelle was also an active member of the in the Harvey County Association of Retired School Personnel.

 

Ervelle is survived by several nephews and many good and loyal friends she has made through the years.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister

 

A chapel service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home with Pastor Chip Bungard of First Baptist Church Newton Officiating.  A private burial will be in Restlawn Gardens Cemetery rural Newton.

 

A memorial has been established with Newton Public Library Children’s Department in care of Petersen Funeral Home
