Etta Mae Swarts

Etta Mae Swarts, 78, died Sunday September 15, 2019 at Newton Medical Center.  She was born July 15, 1941 in Marysville, Kansas to Harold E. and Vivian M. (Green) Neal.

 

On October 10th 1987 she married Lynn Swarts at the Harvey County Camp Hawk and he survives of the home.

 

Etta was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family.  She worked as a CNA-CMA at the Newton Presbyterian Manor and as a home health aide.  She was also an accomplished massage therapist working for chiropractors in the Newton area.  Etta loved to keep busy and helped build the family home in Walton.  She also enjoyed spending time in her garden.

 

She is survived by her husband Lynn of the home; daughters: Theresa Toscano and Joanna Negrete; son: Michael Lally; step sons: John Lally Jr, Lynn E. Swarts Jr., Laron Swarts, Gregory Swarts and step daughter Lori Bellington; brothers: Charles Hart Jr. and William Hart; sisters: Sondra Davis and Nancy Soder; She is also survived by 9  grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren and her cousin Bob Neal.

 

Etta is preceded in death by her parents and one daughter Linda Lally.

 

Graveside committal service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday at the Walton Township Cemetery with Pastor Amos McCarthy presiding.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Memorials may be left to the donor’s choice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
