Evelynn L. Andres

Evelynn L. Andres 90, passed away, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Newton Medical Center.  She was born April 25, 1928 in Vici, Oklahoma to Ross and Edna (Kennedy) Coles.  On  August 1, 1948  She married Edwin H. Andres and he survives of the home.

 

Evelynn was a member of the Zion Mennonite Church in Elbing.

 

She is survived by her husband Edwin H. Andres; son Ricky and his wife Deb Andres; Daughters Sharon Rusco, Kathy Lau and Vicki and her husband Scott Lewis. She is also survived by one sister Lois Barton and 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Evelynn was expecting her 10th great grandchild soon. 

 

Evelynn is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Patricia Ann Andres, sister Berniece Barker, Brother in Laws Frank Barton and Lloyd Barker a son in law Larry Rusco.

 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Zion Mennonite Church in Elbing, Kansas with Pastor Ray Reimer presiding.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday January 21, 2019 at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Private family interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery Newton, Kansas.

 

Memorials are suggested to Mennonite Central Committee or Gideon’s International
