Helen M. Montgomery

Helen M. Montgomery, 94, died Monday, July 29, 2013, at Catholic Care Center in Wichita.  She was born March 18, 1919, in Newton to George L. and Mary C. (Cullinan) Montgomery. She was a retired executive secretary for the IRS and a civilian employee for the Air Force.  Helen was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wichita and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton, which was her home parish growing up in Newton. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Betty J. Montgomery of Wichita, and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton, with the Rev. Jim Mainzer, celebrant. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 10 a.m. Monday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
