Jane Willis, 88, passed away at Diversacare Hospice of Sedgwick on Saturday, May 4, 2018.

Jane was born on October 21, 1930 to Ivo and Ruth (Shipman) Jones in Peace Valley, Missouri. 

Jane married Marvin Willis on July 5, 1949 in Salem, Arkansas.  They were married for thirty-nine years prior to his death in 1988.

Jane and Marvin were entrepreneurs. They owned and ran sandwich shops in Wichita and later Sedgwick, Kansas.

She enjoyed family events and traveling to visit her sisters.  She enjoyed classic movies, family “pitch” card games, homemade food, “sweets” and birds.

She is survived by her brother: Jim and Shirley Jones; son: Steven Willis; and five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters: Audrey Thomas, Delores Jones, Edith Green; and a son: Marvin Wayne Willis.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 13^th at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. A committal will be held following the service at Maize Park Cemetery, Maize, Kansas.
