  1. MY FATHER ROBERT “DOC” HOTVEDT & MR. YOUNKMAN WERE GOOD FRIENDS & LOVED GOING TO ANTIQUE SHOWS TOGETHER UNTIL MY FATHER PASSED 8/1999. MY MOTHER OFTEN TALKED ABOUT THEM GOING ON TRIPS BEFORE SHE PASSED IN 2/2012 & HOW MUCH MY FATHER ENJOYED THEIR TIME TOGETHER. THEY ARE TOGETHER AGAIN IN HEAVEN AND I’M SURE THEY ARE CATCHING UP ON LOST TIME. I FEEL YOUR LOSE WITH YOU, MR YOUNKMAN WAS A FINE MAN & WILL BE MISSED BY MANY. MY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL. LINDA (HOTVEDT) SMITH

  2. A few years ago John would come to Wichita when bananas were on sale. He would come by our shop. I always enjoyed seeing him come in. He had a pocked full of penlights and pens. His eyes sparkled. He was full of good information and stories. He quit coming in a few years ago and I have missed him. I heard he was still watching the dust blow across the field talking about clocks. He was a friend of my Mother and came to her funeral.

Good memories and best wishes to his family and friends.
