Katherine Lacoss

Katherine LaCoss, 84, died on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Newton Medical Center in Newton, Kansas.

Katherine was born on March 24, 1934 to Clyde and Jinnie (Britt) Cagle in Henderson, Tennessee.

Katherine married Charles W. LaCoss on July 23, 1952 in Tunica, Mississippi.  They were married for fifty nine years prior to his passing on February 2, 2012.

Katherine was an easy going person who loved being around people. She enjoyed country music and old western movies. She loved her family and enjoyed serving food at family dinners. Katherine was a retired USD 373 Dietary Service employee. 

She is survived by her children: Brenda and Rollin Schmidt, Linda and Frank Stevens and Mark and Sheila LaCoss; siblings: Laverne Connors, Ralph Cagle, and Dale Piper; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Clyde and Jinnie Cagle, grandson: Jonathan Kasper; and four siblings.

A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.  A public visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 at Petersen Funeral Home the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home
