Stacey Lee (Wolting) Tappan 49, died Sunday October 20, 2013 at her Newton residence.  She was born December 2, 1963 in Newton, Kansas to Ralph and Leora (Blundon) Wolting.  ON April 26, 2003 she married Brian Tappan in Newton and he survives of the home.  Stacey dreamed of travel and enjoyed crafting with her family and grandchildren. She also was very proud of her family and looked forward to spending time with her sons and their families. She enjoyed spending time decorating her and her husband’s home. She looked forward to growing old together with her husband.  She will be greatly missed by her many friends and will always be thought of with many fond memories by those her knew her. She is now the saint we all knew her to be.

Stacey is survived by her husband Brian of the home; son Erik Mason and his wife Erica of Maize, Kansas, Michael Mason of Kansas City, Kansas; sister Teresa and Scott Kem of Lenexa, Kansas; her loving grandchildren: McKenna Grace, Brlynne Elizabeth, Chandler Wolt, and Hunter Daniel; Nephews Eric Hardman and family and Jeff Kem and family; and uncle Donald Wolting and cousin Angie Haag and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and previous husband Arvin Nottestad.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton, Kansas with The Reverend Aaron Filipek presiding.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Newton.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Zion Lutheran Church, Harden Hospice, or Caring Hands Humane Society.
