Victoria A (Losey) Dragoo 70, died Thursday, December 24, 2015 at her Newton residence. She was born October 27, 1945 in Miller, South Dakota to Charles and Phyllis (Danburg) Losey. On April 8, 1967 she married Dean Dragoo at St. Ann’s Church in Miller, South Dakota and he survives of the home. Vicki was a graduate of Miller High School and St. John’s School of Nursing in Huron, South Dakota. She worked as a RN in both hospitals and home health care. One of her favorite nursing duties was working with new born infants. She worked in hospitals in Alaska and Georgia while her husband was in the Army. She also worked in hospitals in Florida and Kansas. She enjoyed relaxing by reading and embroidery. Vicki’s family was important to her and she looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband Dean of the home; Son Darren Dragoo of Newton, Kansas; daughter Michelle Dragoo of Newton, Kansas; brothers Michael Losey of Rapid City, SD, Robert Losey of Deadwood, SD and Richard Losey of Miller, SD; one sister Linda Ace of Broken Arrow, OK; 2 grandsons Devin Dragoo of Newton, KS and Kevin Dragoo of Wichita, KS.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A gathering and visitation with family will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday evening December 31, 2015 at Petersen Funeral Home. Private family burial will be at a later date in Miller, South Dakota.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or S.E. 14th Street AA group in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
