Alexander C. Ewy 24, died in Wichita, Kansas in December 2020.  He was born July 12, 1996 in Syktivkar, Komi Republic, Russia. He joined his forever family with Charles C and Donna (Flemming) Ewy on Christmas Day, 1997.

Alex grew up in Newton, Kansas and was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and attended St. Mary School and subsequently moved to Wichita, attended St.Peter Schulte parish and graduated Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita. He especially enjoyed soccer and track, and he medaled at multiple track meets including three state meets.  After high school, he was employed by Ryan McClellan Construction.

Alex is survived by his parents Charles and Dr. Donna Ewy; brother Aaron Ewy and sister Kristina Ewy.  He is also survived by his grandparents John and Janice Flemming and Eleanor Ewy.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Curtis Ewy.

Private family funeral Mass will be held due to pandemic. The Reverend Sherman Orr will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita.

Memorials in Alexander’s name may be made to Bishop Carroll track department in care of Petersen Funeral Home 215 North Main Newton, Kansas.
