Alice Graber Huxman, Newton, Kansas was born on May 21, 1945 to Edward H Graber and Selma E. Stucky. Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully on February 24, 2025 after a brief illness.
After graduating from Pretty Prairie High School, Alice earned an Associates degree from Bethel College. She married Jim Huxman on June 5, 1966. Alice spent many years working for Hesston Corporation and later working as a para for students in the Burrton school system.
Alice loved her family, especially her grandsons and enjoyed watching them compete and cheering them on in their various activities. She enjoyed cooking family recipes and upholding family traditions.
Four-legged friends always had a place in her heart. Several dogs and cats joined the family over the years and each was cared for with deep love and affection.
Faith was very important to Alice and she was active in her church at First Mennonite Church and later at Newton Bible Church.
Her church involvement included teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and assisting as needed.
Alice is survived by her daughters, Tiffany Dillon (Luke); Lindsey Funk (Ryan); 5 grandchildren, Lyndon and Kaden Dillon, Solomon, Linus and Bexton Funk. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Homer Graber (Doris) and sister Elaine Krehbiel.
A celebration of life is planned for June 21 at 11am at Newton Bible Church
