Athena Scarlett Caillat Brenneman was stillborn May 14, 2013, at Newton Medical Center.

She is survived by her parents, Nicholas and Baillye (Wake) Brenneman of Newton; paternal grandparents, Tom Brenneman of Sublett, and Mike and Susie Blank of Newton; maternal grandparents, KaTrina Hinshaw and Nick Hoguin, both of Newton; brother, Gabriel Brenneman of Newton; and sister, Sophie Brenneman of Park City. She also is survived by numerous aunts and uncles.

Athena was preceded in death by her brother, Jonathan Wake.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton, with Rev. Juan Garza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to the Athena Brenneman Fund to offset funeral expenses
