Benjamin Edward Wheeler, 42, died Tuesday, May 11th at his home in Newton, Kansas.

He was born in Wichita, Kansas, on April 8, 1979, the son of Frank Edward and Susan (Carr) Wheeler.

Ben was employed at Kansas Auto Repair in Newton as an Automotive Technician.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, but most of all he loved being with his son, Jaylenn Edward.

Ben had a playful, caring demeanor and was a loyal friend. His door was always open to those he felt he could befriend with help, making him a big brother or a father figure to some.

He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and cheering on his favorite team, OU. Ben had strong convictions and trust in the Lord. He will be missed by many.

Benjamin is survived by his mother, Susan Wheeler; son, Jaylenn Edward Wheeler; sister, Heather Spencer; grandmother, Wanda Carr; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Edward Wheeler.

A memorial service will be at 1:00PM, Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton.

Memorial Contribution in Ben’s name are suggested to Seventh Direction, 212 N. Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67214.

    He truly loved his family. He marched to his own drum, which made him Ben and we loved him, because of that!! You will be missed so much!!
