Bertina Ensz

Bertina Ensz 82, died Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Kansas.  She was born August 21, 1932 in Newton, Kansas to Herbert and Edna (Voth) Schmidt.  On March 6, 1955 she married Albert J. Ensz and he survives of the home.  Bert was a member of the Faith Mennonite Church in Newton and retired as a Nurse Aide from Schowalter Villa in Hesston.

 

Bertina is survived by her husband Albert of Hesston, KS; son Jonathan (Denise) Ensz of Newton, KS; daughter Rhonda (Anthony) Horsch of Newton, KS; grandchildren: Rachael (Horsch) and her husband Jason Andreas, Stephen Horsch, Ashley (Ensz) and Jason Chambers, Nathan Ensz, Michael Dukes, Brian Dukes and Danielle Dukes.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Pauline Schmidt and Caroline Schmidt.

 

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Faith Mennonite Church in Newton with Pastor Rachel Siemens presiding. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. at Grace Hill Mennonite Cemetery in Rural Newton, Kansas. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 2:00 pm. To 4:00 p.m.

 

Memorials are suggested to Schowalter Villa in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
