Billie L. Harr

d. August 8, 2022

Billie Lucille (Stroup) Harr, 73, died unexpectedly on August 8, 2022, at NMC Health in Newton, Kansas.

She was born on December 30, 1948, in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Virginia “Lucille” (Clausin) Stroup.

On December 30, 1995, Billie was united in marriage to Randall L. Harr in Newton, Kansas.

She was a faithful and long-time member of Newton Christian Church, where she was involved with the women’s bible study as well as the children’s Sunday school.

For many years Billie worked behind the scene with the Kairos Ministry as a lanyard designer and was a legal clerk for KOCH Industries. Billie would later take her love of making jewelry and start her own business, “Another Woman’s Treasures”.

Billie enjoyed feeding and watching birds in her front yard and spending a peaceful morning sitting on her front deck with a cup of coffee in her hand. She loved all bright, vibrant colors, and listening to all kinds of music.

Billie was loving and kind to all and was always friendly, even to strangers. She will be deeply missed by many.

Billie is survived by her daughters, Diana Dunkin and Mary Ivery and four-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Harr; parents, Ralph and Lucille Stroup; and brothers, Bradley, Wayne, and Glenn Stroup, and an infant brother.
