Billie “Bill” Wayne Van Zandt

Billie “Bill” Wayne Van Zandt, 91 of Moundridge/Newton, Kansas died June 26th, 2021 at his new home in Paramount Community Living and Rehabin Newton.

 

He was born December 13, 1929 in Marion County, Arkansas outside of Flippin, the son of MacBeth Young Van Zandt and Winnie (Vick) Victoria Dudley Van Zandt.

 

Bill worked as a second shift maintenance mechanic at Cessna for many years. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years, Wretha James Van Zandt and his second wife of 24 years, Carolyn Busenitz Van Zandt.

 

Bill is survived by two daughters, Connie M. Van Zandt of Memphis, TN and Vicky A. Atkinson (Philip) of Goddard, KS as well as three granddaughters, Susanna Atkinson,Valerie Shannon (Mickey) and Micaela Atkinson.

 

Graveside services will be at Garden Community Church, 6520 N. Halstead Road Moundridge, Kansas at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 7th 2021 with Pastor Gary Jansen Presiding.  There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made in Bill’s name to Gideon’s International in care of Petersen Funeral Home 215 North Main Newton, Kansas 67114
