Carl C. Stahl

Carl C. Stahl 83, died Wednesday May 3, 2017 at Pine Village in Moundridge, Kansas.  He was born October 5, 1933 in Newton, Kansas to William and Mary (Scheffler) Stahl.  On October 8, 1954 he married Eleanor N. Rose and she preceded him in death on April 28, 1982.  Carl retired from the former Antrim Lumber Company in Newton.  He enjoyed spending hunting and fishing in his younger years.  Carl had a work shop he spent time in building birdhouses and wood working. He also built a wood model of the family farm he was proud of.  Many days Carl could be seen driving around Newton in his 1977 green and white thunderbird that he proudly cared for through the years.

Carl is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and son Larry Stahl. He is also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters and one nephew Wayne Janzen.

Graveside committal service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, Kansas with Pastor Ray Adams presiding.  Visitation will 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Petersen Funeral Home.
