Carol Sue Cobbs Wilcots was born in Newton, Kansas on Tuesday, January 27, 1942 to the late Elbert and Mentoria Cobbs.
Because of her love for the Lord, she confessed her faith at an early age and was baptized.
Carol attended Newton Public schools and earned a General Education Diploma from Kansas. After earning her G.E.D., she attended college and obtained a degree in Accounting.
Carol gained employment with Sedgwick County, where she utilized her skill set to write grants and develop computer programs,that are applied today. These ideas saved Sedgwick County millions of dollars. She received recognition by the Governor of Kansas for her expertise and innovative approach.
During the early 1960’s, Carol was the founding mother of Bible Days Revival Ministers. She supported the ministry in a variety of ways, most importantly as First Lady.
Carol cherished her family and was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Cobbs; her daughter, Lori M. Wilcots; her sister, Margurite Bunch.
Carol’s love and memories will remain in the hearts of her sons, Anthony W. Wilcots (Cherry), Odis E. Wilcots, Sherman D. Wilcots, Charles McKinney, Brian Wilcots; her siblings, Irene Moore, Zenolia Ross, Elbert Cobbs Jr. and Evelyn Carter: an exceptional supportive, daughter- in – love, Misty McGhee; grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and host of relatives and friends.
