Catherine Ann Wilson

Catherine Ann Wilson (Cathy) was born on September 10, 1946 and passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025 in Newton, Kansas at the age of 78 years old. Catherine was born to Alice Elizabeth (Pooler) and Damian Cyrus Wilson in Kansas City, Kansas and was one of five children born to this union. 

Catherine is preceded in death by brother Damian Philip Wilson and wife Cathryn, sister Nancy Harris and husband
Dick, sister Mary Barrett and husband Randy, granddaughter Regan Wheeler and nephew Robert (Bobby)
Barrett. She is survived by her sister, Rita Heyborne (Steve); son, Richard (Rick) Kevin Wheeler (Konnie),
Whitewater, Kansas and daughter, Michelle (Missy) Lynn Wheeler-Vining (Kenny) of Kansas City, Kansas;
four grandchildren, Madison Wheeler, Mallory Harkins, Mitchell Kendrick and Chandler Vining, five great
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine graduated from St Joe High School in Shawnee, Kansas and was married to Richard Scott
Wheeler. She lived in the Kansas City area the majority of her life before relocating to Newton, Kansas
where she resided until she passed away. Cathy enjoyed spending time being a mother to Rick and Missy
and was able to spend those years as a homemaker . She enjoyed cooking and crafting, particularly needle
crafts and painting.

A Celebration of Life picnic will be held on June 28, 2025 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Antioch Park, 6501
Antioch Road, Shelter 4, Merriam, Kansas. Memorials to Good Shepherd Hospice.
