In 1969, Charles met his wife Donna working together at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He received his B.A. from Wichita State University shortly thereafter. His two children, Jeni and Jacob, were born at Wesley Medical Center.

Charles went on to achieve his MBA from the University of Dayton, Ohio. He had a successful 40 year career in healthcare retiring as the Administrative Director of the Children’s Hospital laboratory in Columbus, Ohio.

He had a passion for aviation and aircraft and, in 1973, was proud to get his private pilot’s license flying Cessna airplanes. When computers first emerged, Charles was first on the scene ordering and assembling a Sinclair computer through mail order.
