Life Sketch for Charles Corbin Cain

(Chuck) Charles Corbin Cain, 56, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Newton Medical Center.

Chuck was born on December 26, 1961 in Goodland, Kansas.  His parents were Fred Arthur Cain, Step-Mom Gloria (Erickson) Cain and Mom Josephine (Hayden) Cain.

Chuck was a machinist for AVCON Industries in Newton, KS for 25 years.  He loved working with numbers.  Chuck could solve machine issues and numbers calculations in his head, we never saw the man use a calculator.  Working with numbers were second nature for Chuck.

He married Lee Ann Green from Conroe TX on September 22, 2000 in Newton, Kansas. They were married for seventeen years prior to his death.

Chuck loved sitting on the front porch listening to music, waving to friends and family as they drove by and most of all he loved sitting outdoors visiting with family and friends.  Every time friends and family drove by they’d see Chuck sitting on the front porch waving. Which granted him the nickname “porch monkey” from all his friends and family waving as they drove by.  “Papa” was his favorite nickname given to him by Levi who was like a son to him. His grandbabies were his greatest joy.   He loved listening to Toby Keith and Tracey Lawrence but still loved listening to old Rock-N-Roll Music.   When his kids were young Chuck enjoyed making memories fishing and camping.  Chuck’s favorite color was Red, why you ask? Because he supported his favorite sports team, the Kansas City Chiefs.  Chuck never missed a storm, he enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the storms roll in.  In his younger days Chuck loved working on cars.  His pride and joys were his Nova and Big Blue his 1960’s Chevy pickup.  Chuck was an animal lover, his dog Bud lived many happy years sitting beside “Porch Monkey” on the front porch and following him everywhere he went.   There is no better place to be, than with Family.  Chuck loved his family barbeques.  Getting all the boys and their families together for some good ole BBQ and storytelling made Chuck’s heart full and happy.

He is survived his wife: Lee Ann Cain; sons: Ty and wife Jessi Cain, Shane and wife Jessica Cain; Step-son Tony Hunter and step-daughter Nikki Coan; Brothers: Brad, Tony, Fred and wife Marla, Roger and wife Barbara Cain. Sister Lisa and husband Steve Osburn; four grandchildren: Levi, Tyson, Aivery, Baby to be Eisley.

He was preceded in death by his Dad Fred Cain, Mom Josephine Cain and Grandson Colby Charles Cain.
