Charles R. “Charlie” Morris 69, died Wednesday September 6, 2017 in Harlingen, Texas. He was born August 16, 1948 in Nevada, Missouri to Charles and Betty (Whistler) Morris. He married Vicki Sue Morris on June 16, 1978 at Longton, KS and she preceded him in death on January 28, 2005. On September 24, 2005 he married Beverly Lintz at the precious moment’s chapel in Carthage, Missouri and she survives of the home.
Charles retired from Agco in Hesston, KS after 41 years working in the maintenance dept. He enjoyed traveling and was a full time RVer spending winters in Harlingen, Texas. While in Harlingen he and his wife made many good friends. Charles enjoyed tinkering and fixing things and was always helping friends and neighbors with their project. Charles also enjoyed Branson, Missouri and all the attractions and shows. He enjoyed spending time fishing and being in nature. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly Morris, Newton, KS; sons: Terry Morris of Newton, KS, Jerry Morris of Humbolt,KS; J.D. Lintz of Ft. Pierce, FL; and Michael Lintz of Haysville, KS; daughter Carly Morris of Newton, KS and Eleven grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Charles is preceded by his first wife Vicki Sue; parents and brother John Morris.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Newton, KS
In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Aurora House in Weslaco, Texas
