Dale Lynn Clark, born on December 16th, 1949 in Wichita, Kansas, passed away after a valiant fight following a double lung transplant in 2020 at his home in North Newton, Kansas. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Gertrude (Lee) Clark. As well as his grandparents, Ross and Mabel Lee, and mother and father in law, Charles and Bertha Martin, and an infant brother.
Dale married the love of his life Marsha (Martin) Clark on February 27, 1971 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Their marriage brought the birth of their daughter, their pride and joy, Staci. She was Dale’s proudest accomplishment. He never missed an opportunity to tell anyone who’d listen about his “favorite daughter”.
Dale established his incredible business sense from his Grandpa Lee at an early age growing up in Clearwater. He was proud to have learned his finance and business skills from him and worked diligently to continue that legacy with his own grandchildren. Growing up on the family farm stirred a passion in him to follow the crops every season and watch how they performed in the market. Dale graduated with his Bachelors from Friends University in 1972. He then took his first job as an accountant at Farmers Grain Coop in Walton, Kansas where he worked from 1972-1982. Dale went and sat for his CPA in 1982, something he was incredibly proud of, and started as a staff accountant at Knudsen Monroe in 1982. He went on to be a Managing Partner until his retirement, even continuing to work after retirement from KM&CO until his death.
Dale leaves behind his loving wife, Marsha, of 53 years. Daughter, Staci (Corey) Penner (North Newton, KS) and the absolute lights of his life, Damon Clark Penner (Manhattan, KS) and Laniese Charlena Penner (Lenexa, KS). He is also survived by his brothers, Roy (Gladys) Clark (Clearwater, KS) and Paul (Carol) Clark (Clearwater, KS), his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sondra and Stew VanArsdale (Nixa, MO) as well as numerus nieces and nephews.
Dale was a devoted family man, loving husband, father and papa. An amazing man, a wonderful friend, a confident and tax genius. The world lost a bright light and brilliant mind with Dale’s passing.
