Darrell H. Williams

Darrell H. Williams 84 died December 31, 2022, at Kansas Heart Hospital. He was born January 1, 1938, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Harvey and Maxine (Miller) Williams.  On October 21, 2000, he married Mary Lou Schuessler Hall at Sedgwick, Kansas and she survives of the home.     

Darrell was a mechanical contractor and owned and operated his own company.

He was a man who enjoyed working and his work.  He also, looked forward to a good visit with his friends and family and in the last year began to reconnect and build deeper relationships with his family over “shop chats’

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Williams; sons Darrell Williams, Dale Williams and Wade Helget; daughters: Patricia Williams and Ruth Jensen; one brother Rex Williams. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, son Donald, brother Stanley Williams and sister Jackie Blakney.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Palmyra Baptist church in rural Benton, Kansas with Pastor Andrew Dyer and Albert Schuessler presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Green Valley Cemetery, Furley, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Johnson Cancer Research Center at Kansas State University and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
