Dave Phillips, 52, died peacefully at his home in Newton on November 29, 2015.

Dave was born on August 30, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas.

Dave was a master mechanic by trade. And an unimaginable father, son, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. Dave was well known for his interaction with children. Many referred to him as Grandpa Dave.

Dave is survived by his son: Justin Phillips and wife, Dawn; brother: Kevin Eros; and mother: Jeanette Eros.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 4th at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held at Petersen Funeral Home from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3rd with the family present between 6:30 and 8:00 p.m. Petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com.

There will be a lunch provided at the Budde Family Farm located at 4504 NE 36th Street, Rural (East) Newton following the service.

An inurnment will be held at a later date.
