David E. Unurh

David E. Unruh 66, died December 2, 2021 at his Wichita residence.  He was born May 27, 1955 in Newton, Kansas to Cornelius and Alice M. (Didier) Unruh.

David was a retired truck driver.  He enjoyed spending time fishing and camping. He especially enjoyed trips to Colorado.  Family was important to David and he enjoyed spending time with his family and grilling for gatherings. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.  David had two special dogs and he looked forward to trips to the dog park.

He is survived by his sister Cindy (Clyde) Lindsey and Fiancé Deborah Maidon.

David is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nathan Paulus presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery Newton
