David Robert Pomeroy

David R. Pomeroy, 20, died Saturday June 10, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. He was born August 5, 2002 in Newton, Kansas to Todd and Melissa (Mann) Pomeroy. A graduate of Newton High School class of 2021, he was currently a junior at the University of Kansas and a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.

He is survived by his parents Todd and Melissa Pomeroy; sisters Jessica Vail and Ann Pomeroy. He is also survived by his grandparents, a large extended family and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his sister Nicole Pomeroy.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday June 17, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church in Newton with The Reverend Scott McGinnis presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m., to 8 p.m. at the church Friday evening June 16, 2023. Burial will be in the Whitewater Cemetery, Whitewater, Kansas. Following the graveside service, from 5-8 p.m. a celebration of life will be at the Meridian Center, 1420 East Broadway Ct., Newton KS 67114.
