Deanna R. (Cortner) Woodfield

Deanna R. (Cortner) Woodfield was born June 27, 1961 to Mary Ann Cortner and Ray Hunley in Hutchinson, KS. She met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 11, 2021. She graduated from Hutchinson High School and spent one year at Fort Hays State University. She is survived by husband James Woodfield, Jr. of the home; one son, Joshua Randall Tharp and wife Aspen of Sylvan Grove, KS; one daughter, Crystal Ellen Hendry and husband DJ of Newton, KS; and one step-daughter Janae Michelle Woodfield of Newton, KS; grandchildren Dayton Lee Hendry, Franklin Randall Hendry, and Colt Perry Tharp; sisters Denita Goering and husband Terry Jo of Pretty Prarie, KS and Terry Sunner and husband Mike of Hutchinson, KS; and 4 nephews Erick Goering, Ethan Goering, Matt Sunner, and Marshall Sunner.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday March 18, 2021 at First Missionary Church in Newton with Pastor’s Ray and Adams and Dan Quinlin presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the First Missionary Cemetery Rural Newton, Kansas. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Newton First Missionary Church.
