Dee Ann Hein 59, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 9, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert “Bob” and Twila (Jennings) Hermreck.  Dee Ann was a 1974 graduate of Andale High School and attended business technical college.  On June 14, 1975 she married Rick Hein at St. Marks Parish in Colwich, Kansas and he survives of the home.  She was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Parish in Newton, KS. Dee Ann worked as an Executive Assistant for Waddell and Reed in Newton.  She had a passion for serving the Lord making Rosaries and shipping them all over the world, especially to third world countries. She also loved bees and enjoyed processing honey and relaxed doing cross stitch.  Dee Ann worked with her husband doing Catholic Marriage Encounter for nearly 8 years.  Faith, Family and Friends could be Dee Ann’s motto. She greatly enjoyed serving the Lord and was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend to many and will be greatly missed.

 

She is survived by her parents Bob and Twila Hermreck of Wichita, KS; husband Rick Hein of Peabody, KS; daughter Jeni Hein of Peabody, KS; son Joshua Hein of Newton, KS; 3 brothers: Rick, Loren and Carl Hermreck all of Wichita, KS; 1 sister Donna Graham of Wichita, KS and 5 grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton with The Reverend Nicholas Voelker celebrant. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2016 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the Rosary.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery Newton, Kansas.
