Dennis Kelsheimer

Dennis Kelsheimer, 69, died at his home on Friday, August 9^th in Newton.

Dennis was born on June 3, 1944 in El Dorado, Kansas to Ira and Margaret (Collins) Kelsheimer.

Dennis married Deanna Spore on August 3, 1978 in Kingman, Kansas.  They recently celebrated their 35^th anniversary.

Dennis was in the Marine Corp when he began noticing symptoms of  Multiple Sclerosis (MS). He lived with MS for 49 years and Deanna cared for him until his death.

In spite of his long term illness, Dennis was a thankful and happy person.  His family was very important to him. He enjoyed World Wrestling and was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was a member of the Meridian Baptist Church and always a “Marine”.

He is survived by his wife, Deanna Kelsheimer; sons, Brian Kelsheimer and Trad Warren; daughter, Roxane  Johns and spouse, Caleb; brothers, Ronald and David Kelsheimer; sisters, Phylliss Swarts, Cheryl Miller and Regina Peterson and two grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Margaret Kelsheimer; and infant son, Timothy Kelsheimer.

A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Petersen Funeral Home Chapel.
