Dennis Bradshaw

February 13, 2023

Dennis R. Bradshaw 70 died February 13, 2023, at his Newton residence.  He was born January 31, 1953, in Kinston, North Carolina to Robert and Daisy (Warlick) Bradshaw.  On June 10, 1975, he married Nancy Murphy at Las Vegas, Nevada and she survives of the home.

Dennis was a longtime member of the Newton Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 2516.

In spite of losing his eyesight to macular degeneration at a young age Dennis had a positive attitude and had many joys in life including watching television, especially Gunsmoke. He was also a sports fan and followed the Kansas City Chiefs, North Carolina Tarheels and KU. He was a gentle soul and held a special spot in his heart for animals. Dennis was known for sharing a fun joke and will be remembered for the many childhood stories he shared.  His greatest joy in life was being a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was very proud of his families achievements and following their activities.  He was a little league coach and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dennis could often be found sitting his garage and waiting for grandkids to get home from school.

He is survived by his wife Nancy of the home; son Buck (Jessica) Bradshaw and daughter Jamie Bradshaw (Jason Schroeder); one brother Robert Bradshaw Jr and 4 grandchildren Blaze, Hannah, Daisy and Macee.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date by Petersen Funeral Home.
