Donna Mae Kepley
Passed December 16th after her battle with cancer. She was born 0n February 6th 1939 in Eureka, Ks to Oran and Flossie Austin. Donna attended primary school in Sedgwick KS and later graduate from Vilas Rural High School near Chanute KS. At a school function she met and fell in love with her soul mate, William A Kepley. The two married on May 27, 1956. During their 62 blissful years of marriage the two raised three children, who went on to have children of their own adding love and filling the hearts of both doting grandparents.
Their eldest son Jeffrey A Kepley of Newton, grandson Gary Kepley wife Marissa and their children Grady and Madison of Council Grove KS. Granddaughter Lacie Fair, husband Darren and their children Parker and Cora of Newton.
Daughter, Janet L Kepley of Grants Pass OR., Grandsons Trevor Huebert and Cameron Huebert both of Portland OR.
Son, Jerry D and Michelle Kepley of Burrton, Grandson Andrew, wife Emily and their children Maggie and Allison of Newton.
After marriage Donna went to Wichita Business College. She worked for many years at Hertlzer Clinic in Halstead until she and her husband purchased Newton Appliance Center where she ran the office. Donna was a member of Trinity Heights Church United Methodist Women, Martha Circle, E Circle, Peacemaker Quilting. She was a member of Business Professional Women and Chamber of Commerce. Most of all she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and time with her friends and family.
Memorial Services will be held at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church on Friday December 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Donna Voteau presiding. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Heights United Methodist Church in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
