Edward “Lee” Cooper Jr., 97, died April 5, 2022. He was a retired Boeing technical illustrator and WWII Army veteran.
Edward was born November 25, 1924, in Newton, Kansas. He received his bachelor’s degree at the University of Kansas.
Preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Olive (South), and bother Gary.
Survivors include daughter Susan and son Steven (Kristin) of Wichita; sister Mae (Richard) Birkes of McPherson; brother Don (Tanya) of Newton; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Greenwood Cemetery, 1100 E. First, Newton Kansas. In liue of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E. Rockhill Ste. 403, Wichita Kansas, 67206.
Sorry for the loss of Lee. Keep your heads up and smile because you know he is with the Good Lord and having a merry ole time.
