Esther M Kroeker

Esther M. Kroeker 94, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at NMC Health in Newton, Kansas.  She was born October 18, 1928 in Pretty Prairie, Kansas to Herman John Henry and Marie Alma (Schrag) Winsinger. On July 30, 1965 she married Peter F. Kroeker at Pretty Prairie, Kansas and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1997.

Esther was a member of the Newton Bible Church in Newton, Kansas. During her working years she worked as a Nurse Aide. One of her greatest joys in addition to her family was being a foster Grandparent to many through the years.

Esther is survived by her son Samuel (Marcia) Kroeker; Daughter in Law Jolene Kroeker; brother Harold (Margaret) Winsinger; grandson’s T.J. and Jonathan Kroeker. She is also survived by her friend Jessica Bastow.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John Kroeker, and three sisters Elsie (Winsinger) Perez, Amy (Winsinger) Bergen and Rose (Winsinger) Krey.

Graveside Committal service will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2022 at the Harbine Cemetery in Jefferson County Nebraska near Fairbury. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday November 8, 2022 at Newton Bible Church

Memorials may be made to Newton Bible Christian School, SEND Darwin Stoesz or Grandsons College fund and made out to Samuel Kroeker and left with Petersen Funeral Home.
