Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother, Fern Lillian Stovall, 96, passed away and into the arms of her Heavenly Father on December 16, 2024.

Fern was born on September 27, 1928, to Vevia and Joseph Spangler.

On February 13, 1947, Fern married Milford Stovall and they resided in Peabody, Kansas and later in Newton, Kansas. They were married for 69 years until his death on November 24, 2016.

Fern was a homemaker and worked at Peabody Elementary and Peabody High School for many years as a cook. She was loved by all of the students.

She enjoyed baking, crafting, crossword puzzles, shopping, eating out, time together with family, holiday celebrations, and camping at the lake.

Fern loved her grandchildren and treasured the times when they would stop by to visit. She is remembered by her grandkids for providing after school snacks, stuffing chocolate Easter bunnies into Easter baskets, and making costumes for the school music concerts. Whenever there was a need, she was there to offer a helping hand. She had a very fun personality with a generous and giving heart. She will be deeply missed.
