George Broz

George Broz, age 67 of Newton, Kansas passed away June 14, 2017 at Newton Medical Center. George was born May 3, 1950 in Florence, Kansas, the son of George and Dora (Ramsey) Broz.

He graduated from Florence High School in 1968. He then joined the Army and served his country from 1969-1971 in Germany. Upon returning home he met Marsha Lyn Lyons and they were married October 4, 1974 at the Latter Day Saints Temple in Manti, Utah.  To this union two daughters were born; Autum Lyn of Newton, and Ashley Ann O’Neil (Matthew) of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

George is survived by his wife Marsha of the home, daughters; Autumn and Ashley, sisters; Judi Rowland (Gary) of Peculiar, MO, Irene Scott (Herb) of Derby, KS, brothers; Joe Broz (Connie) Branson, MO., Mark Broz (Cathy) Topeka, KS, and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his parents; George and Dora.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 20th 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Newton, Kansas, with Bishop Ellsworth presiding. Interment with military honors will be at 2:30 p.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Cemetery in Pilsen, Kansas.
