Geraldine “Gerry” Mae (Esau) Stufflebeam

Geraldine “Gerry” Mae (Esau) Stufflebeam, 92, passed away on August 31, 2021.

She was born on May 4, 1929 at a hospital in Newton, Kansas, to Bruno and Emma Esau.

Gerry attended grade school at Christian Day School in Newton, one year of high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and then moved back to Newton, Kansas, where she finished school at Newton High.

In 1946 Gerry married Carrel H. Williams in Newton; he passed away July 24, 1963. Later she married Clyde O. Stufflebeam on January 9, 1971, in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on September 24, 1989.

Gerry is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Cook; brother, Kenneth Esau; sister, Annetta Gehring; 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carrel Williams; husband, Clyde Stufflebeam; infant daughter, Lily Ann Williams; son, Henry Williams; daughters, Carrellen Lewis and Patty Steadman; son-in-law, Richard Steadman; brother, Derrill Esau; sister Arlene Adams; and grandson, Timothy Block.

A visitation will take place from 1:00p.m. – 5:00p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Petersen Funeral Home, 215 N. Main, in Newton, Kansas. Private inurnment will take place at Walton Cemetery at a later date.

  1. Grandma, i dont know where to start and how to finish. I do know you loved everyone and touched alot of people and impacted us all. you loved your grandkids and all the great grandkids. you loved your bingo and going to church. i will never forget the time i moved to hutch to live with you so i could take care of you when you had your hip replacements. one thing i wont miss is you leaving old boiled hot dogs in the pan with water for a day a two then i finally find it, it was not a funny site when i about gagged.. you know i had to say it grandma. i will miss you dearly and until we meet again rest in peace. sincerely your grandson, CHARLES (CHUCK) STEADMAN..   2. I just found out by Google that you had passed away. I tried calling Carrellen but no answer.
    Mom and i never got to visit you as we should have been able to
