Glen Regier

March 19, 2021

Glen Regier, 90, went to be with His Lord on Friday, March 20, 2021.

Born on June 28, 1930, the son of B.E. Regier and Helen Claassen Regier, Glen lived in Newton, Kansas, all his life. He and Ellegene Hodel were married on December 7, 1950. They have three children; Allan Regier, Ruth Regier Reimen and Glenna Regier Crawley.

Glen has been a member of Newton Bible Church since 1959, holding leadership positions and teaching Sunday school classes during that time.

Other than his wife, the love of Glen’s life was his land. Farming was his dream and his occupation.

He shared this life with his grandchildren; Laura Regier Hill, Heidi Regier Burgess and Carson Reimer; and great-grandchildren, Chase Hill and Benjamin Bargess.

Memorial contributions in Glen’s name can be made to the Newton Bible Church Missionary Fund.

A memorial will be held on at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Newton Bible Church, 900 Old Main St., Newton, Kansas.

  1. I will miss Glen coming to my house to see what activities are going on. I will miss all the stories about my dad and grandfather. Enjoyed Glen everything I spent time with him.

  2. Fond memories of Glen. The times I got to be with him and Ellegene. He loved his life.

Blessings to all of those he left behind.

  3. I always enjoyed talking to Glen. The story I heard from my mother, Hazel Williams Dudte, was that when Glen was in first grade, he was one of her students at Stone School east of Newton. He would go home after school and do his chores and then walk back to the school to visit with her. She always enjoyed Glen.

  4. So sorry for your loss. I just heard today about Glen’s passing. I remember many visits to the Regier home after Sunday evening church. You will certainly miss him, but he is rejoicing with his Lord.
