Glenda Lynn Carpenter, daughter of Walter and Glendora Carpenter, born December 8, 1954, in Hutchinson, Kansas, died January 27, 2023, in El Dorado, Kansas.

She is survived by brothers, Wayne Carpenter and Jerry (Char) Carpenter of Newton and Donald Carpenter of South Hutch; sisters, Loretta Carpenter of McPherson and Geraldine (Steve) Barden of Newton; nephews, Josh (Becky) Barden of Emporia, Joey Barden of Newton, and Tony Carpenter and Josh Carpenter of Hutchinson.

Glenda worked in food service for many years.

She was a client at Flinthills Services.

Glenda enjoyed going on trips, car rides, getting soft drinks, shopping, and visiting family. She enjoyed and always gave friends excellent back rubs.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Glendora Carpenter and nephew, Matthew Barden.

Visitation will be from 5 – 9 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Petersen Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Fairlawn Burial Park in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to Flint Hills Services or Interim Hospice and left in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
