Glenn E. Seybert 74, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. He was born October 25, 1943 in Dodge City, Kansas to Roy and Vashti (Painter) Seybert. He was a graduate of Meade High School in Meade, Kansas and attended Kansas State University. Glenn grew up around farming and ranching and developed a love and respect of the land. He had a soft spot for horses and owned and cared for a few horses in his life. He was a prudential insurance salesman in Dodge City, Kansas for nearly 20 years. He also worked carpentry jobs with his brother Charlie in the Newton, Kansas area. Family was important to Glenn and he looked forward to spending time with his loving family and many friends.

He is a member of St. John Baptist Church in Meade, Kansas and the American Legion Wayne G. Austin Post #2 in Newton.

Glenn is survived by his son Justin Seybert of Newton, KS; daughter Kandi Dietrich of Jacksonville, FL; brothers Ross Seybert of Meade, KS and Charlie Seybert of Newton, KS. He is also survived by his sister Alice Montemurro of The Dell’s WI and 4 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Randy Seybert officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2018 at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Private family interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade, Kansas

Memorials are suggested the American Legion Wayne G. Austin Post #2 in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
