Hazel F. Abrahams, 95, died on August 21, 2015 at Sandpiper Bay Nursing Home in Wichita, Kansas.
Hazel was born on February 7, 1920 to Carl and Agnes (Davidson) Porter in Cimarron, Kansas.
Hazel was married to Elmer Abrahams on January 14, 1946 in Newton, Kansas. He preceded her in death.
Hazel started her working life making World War II tents in a factory in Wichita, Kansas. She worked and retired from the Newton School District. She loved to read, bake and be with her family.
She was survived by her children: Randall L. and Cathy Abrahams; Camilla S. Kochenower; brother: Wayne Porter; sisters: Dorothy Williams, Joy Payne, Bernice Winsky; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: sons: Bradley and Bevel; brothers: Marvin and Eldon Porter; sisters: Beatrice, Lorene, Jean and Evelyn.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 1st at Country Acres Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas. There will not be a public visitation. Petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
