James “Kenny” Riley

James “Kenny” Riley, 79, died on Saturday, October 20, 2018 in Whitewater, Kansas.

Kenny was born on February 27, 1939 in Rural Graves County, Kentucky to Francis and Geneva (Phelps) Riley.

Kenny married Caroline Beaushaw on October 22, 1966.  They were married for almost 52 years prior to his death.

Kenny was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing and Chiefs football. He was a carpenter and worked construction building bridges.  When he retired he worked at home repairing bicycles.

He is survived by his wife: Caroline Riley; sons: James Jr., and Robert Riley; five brothers and sisters; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant siblings.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Petersen Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends and family prior to the service.  There will not be a committal service. Petersenfamilyfuneralhome.com.
