Jean Louise Jackson, age 95, of Newton, Kansas passed away January 2, 2018 at Presbyterian Manor. Jean was born April 19, 1922 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Claude Herman and Mildred Jane (Searle) Moore.
After graduating high school, Jean met and married Gordon Winfred Jackson on December 11, 1940 in Wichita. To this union was born one son; Kenneth Eugene. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed, knitting, crocheting, stitchery, water color painting, and playing lots of cards, at which she was very good at and had no mercy for anyone including her grandchildren. She also loved to travel when she had the chance.
She is survived by her son; Kenneth Jackson and wife Diane of Colorado, her niece; Marilyn Brown of Newton, 2 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; Claude and Mildred, husband; Gordon, brother; Richard Moore, and a sister Jane Kinney.
A private family Graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita.
