Jerry Johnston

Jerald T. “Jerry” Johnston 55, died Monday August 13, 2012 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. He was born April 16, 1957 in Lindsborg, Kansas to Theodore Arnold and Romeyn (Palmquist) Johnston. Jerry was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. He enjoyed riding motorcycles especially his Harley and spending time at Kanopolis Lake. He also enjoyed metal detecting. Family was very important to Jerry and he enjoyed spending time with his sister, brother in law and nieces and nephews. Jerry had a positive outlook on life and he cared for others and raised them up when they were down.

He is survived by his sister and brother in law Janet and Mike Cagle of Newton, KS; Nephew Josh Cagle and several other nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jay Dean Johnston and half brother Tom Woolfolk.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday August 16th at Zion Lutheran Church with the Reverend Aaron Filipek presiding. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church on Thursday. The casket will remained closed.

Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg, Kansas
