John C. Miller 67, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Asbury Park in Newton. He was born August 9, 1947 in Newton, Kansas to Albert and Elizabeth (Shultz) Miller. He was a graduate of Newton High School and retired as a truck driver for Werner Trucking. He served his country in the United States Navy. John greatly looked forward to spending time fishing and enjoyed bowling with his friends. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his sister and her husband Pam and Keith Denno of Newton; brothers Michael Miller of Newton and Bill and his wife Debbie Miller of Topeka. 2 half sisters Pam (Miller) Waltner of Hesston and Paula (Miller) Flaming of Goessel. He is also survived by his special friend and companion Fern Flourney of Newton and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside Committal service will be announced at a later date and will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newton, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested Caring Hands Humane Society in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
