Joseph D. “Joe” Crowder

Joseph D. “Joe” Crowder 49, died Saturday, May 17, 2014 from injuries sustained in a car wreck in rural Sedgwick County, Kansas.  He was born December 13, 1964 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Kenneth Crowder and Susan Wright.  He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 29 in Wichita and worked for Central Air HVAC sheet metal worker.  He greatly enjoyed the outdoors and feeding and watching birds. He also enjoyed fishing and attending the races at 81 Speedway.

 

Joe is survived by his mother Susan Follis of Sedgwick, KS; sons: Justin and Joseph Crowder both of Wichita, KS; daughters: Jessica Crowder of Mankato, KS and Sierra Brown of Wichita, KS; brothers Thomas and James Crowder both of Wichita, KS and Ryan Weems also of Wichita, KS; one sister Katherine Butler of Bella Vista, AR.

 

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Sunnydale Park Cemetery just North of 101st. N. and Hydraulic in rural Sedgwick County, KS with Charles Wright presiding.  Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Petersen Funeral Home.

 

Memorial is suggested to American Red Cross in care of Petersen Funeral Home.

  2. My deepest condolences. May the God of comfort continue to comfort your family during this time of grief. The bible assures us that our Heavenly Father “is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit .” (Psalms 34:18) knowing that God has the power to resurrect our loved ones back to life (John 5:28,29) is very comforting to me and I hope this promise will bring you comfort as well.

  3. I Love You Dad, I Know that we didn;t get a whole lot of time to get toknow eachother, But i still wish i had every single one of theose precious Moments to re live again.
