Josephine M. Laramore-Holm, 59, of Peabody Kansas, passed away with family by her side, October 4, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born on May 5, 1962, the daughter of Artis Mildred Dean. On May 18, 1996, Josephine married Richard Holm.
Josie enjoyed spending time with family and friends hanging out and listing to music. Those closest to Josie knew her greatest treasure in life was when she was watching and playing with her grandkids. Josie really loved helping people any chance she could and worked as a Physical Therapist and Certified Nursing Assistant.
Josie is survived by her husband, Richard Holm; sons, Brice (Alison) Laramore of Liberty, Missouri and Jarrod (Lyndsey) Laramore of Council Grove, Kansas; sisters, Donna Wallin and Debbie Smith both of Newton, Kansas; and foster sisters Cathe Peters and Dara Lea (Joe) Hoffman, both of Windom, Kansas. Josie has five grandchildren Kohen, Weiland, Lennon, Hadley, and Dylan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, William Bruce Laramore; brothers, James Smith, Jerry Smith, Kenneth Smith, John Smith, Robert Smith and Richard Murray; her loving foster family (1968-1971) β foster dad Russell Swanson and foster mom Phyllis Swanson of Windom, Kansas; and foster sisters Carla Cannon and Mona Rhae King, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Memorial services will be held on October 16th at 11:00 am at Peabody United Methodist Church, 403 N. Sycamore ST. Peabody KS, 66866

I havenβt seen Josie in many many years. But, I will never forget how she selflessly helped me through a difficult time in my life. I always loved working with her as well. She cared deeply for those she worked with and those she took care of. My condolences to her family. β€οΈπ’
I remember how beautiful Jose was and so full of energy when Robert, Jose and Ricky came to live with us. She liked sneaking my retainer out of the cabinet and wearing it. Such a strong spirit.
